Alyssa K. Jerde is the Managing Attorney and Vice President of Wagner Oehler, Ltd. Alyssa’s practice areas include estate planning, probate, trust, and estate administration, farm succession planning, business law, and real estate. Alyssa is trained as a mediator and is passionate about helping individuals, families, and business identify their goals and prepare plans to execute each client’s unique vision.
Alyssa earned her Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from Mitchell Hamline School of Law in 2017, with certificates in Law and Business, International Business Negotiation, and Advocacy and Problem Solving. Prior to law school, Alyssa earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree, magna cum laude, from Winona State University with concentrations in literature and language, creative writing, and applied and professional writing.
Alyssa is active in various civic and professional organizations, including the Olmsted County Bar Association, Third District Bar Association (Past President); Legal Assistance of Olmsted County Board of Directors (Secretary, 2020-2021; Vice President, 2021-2023); Legal Assistance of Olmsted County’s Volunteer Attorney Program (New Volunteer of the Year Award, 2019); and Women Attorneys of Rochester (Past Co-Chair).
Alyssa was the recipient of Legal Assistance of Olmsted County’s New Volunteer Attorney of the Year Award in 2019 and continues to provide pro bono legal services through Legal Assistance of Olmsted County’s Volunteer Attorney Program. Additionally, Alyssa has been selected as a Minnesota Super Lawyers Rising Star for Estate Planning every year since 2022. This is an honor for which no more than 2.5% of lawyers in the state are selected to receive each year!
Alyssa enjoys spending time with her husband and two children. Alyssa also enjoys outdoor adventures, experimenting with her grain mill and sourdough starter (which she lovingly refers to as Gertrude) to create various forms of baked goods, tending to her gardens, and reading.
Alyssa’s paternal great-great-grandparents were orange farmers in California and sold a portion of their land to Disney, which was later developed and is where Disneyland is located to this day. Her family has the chain of title framed, which was probably her first experience looking at real property records.
