Alyssa K. Jerde

Alyssa K. Jerde is an attorney and Vice President of Wagner Oehler, Ltd. Alyssa’s practice areas include estate planning, probate, trust, and estate administration, farm and business law, and real estate. Alyssa is trained as a mediator, and is passionate about helping individuals, families, and business identify their goals and preparing a plan to execute that vision.

Alyssa earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree, magna cum laude, with concentrations in literature and language, creative writing, and applied and professional writing, in 2013 from Winona State University. In 2017, she earned her Juris Doctor from the Mitchell Hamline School of Law, together with certificates in Law and Business, International Business Negotiation, and Advocacy and Problem Solving.

Alyssa is active in various civic and professional organizations, including Olmsted County Bar Association, Third District Bar Association (Past President); Legal Assistance of Olmsted County Board of Directors (Secretary, October 2020 – February 2021; Vice President, March 2021 – Current); Legal Assistance of Olmsted County’s Volunteer Attorney Program (New Volunteer of the Year Award, 2019); and Women Attorneys of Rochester (co-chair).

Alyssa was the recipient of Legal Assistance of Olmsted County’s New Volunteer Attorney of the Year Award in 2019. Additionally, in 2022, 2023, and 2024, Alyssa has been selected as a Minnesota Super Lawyers Rising Star for estate planning (an honor for which no more than 2.5% of lawyers in the state are selected to receive each year).

Alyssa enjoys spending time with her husband, young daughter, and dog. Alyssa also enjoys hiking, yoga, tending to her vegetable and flower gardens, as well as her numerous house plants, reading historical fiction novels, baking, exercising her creativity in various formats, such as calligraphy, painting, beading, or sewing, and chasing after her very active toddler.

Alyssa’s paternal great-great-grandparents were orange farmers in California and sold a portion of their land to Disney, which later was developed and is where Disneyland is located to this day. Her family has the chain of title framed, which was probably her first experience looking at real property records.
