William (Bill) Oehler is an attorney at Wagner Oehler, Ltd. As an advisor to families and businesses, Bill has prepared thousands of estate plans, helped administer hundreds of estates, and guided farms and businesses with business transition planning. Bill provides counsel to farmers and property owners on real estate transactions, contracts, and disputes. With his retirement planned in the near future, Bill encourages his clients to transition working with his colleagues on their estate planning and estate administration, real estate sales, purchase, and financing, and whatever other legal matters may arise.
Bill earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of North Dakota, in Speech and English. In 1978, he earned his Juris Doctor from Cornell Law School in Ithaca, New York.
Bill is active in civic and professional organizations, including the Rochester Estate Planning Council (Past President), Third District Ethics Committee, Legal Assistance of Olmsted County’s Volunteer Attorney Program, and the American Agricultural Law Association.
Bill enjoys spending time with his wife, daughters and their spouses, and his four grandchildren. Bill also enjoys choral music, reading, running, in-line skating, cross country skiing, and biking. Bill has completed six marathons---three on foot and three on in-line skates.
While Bill may talk big, he claims to be the shortest attorney in Southeastern Minnesota!
