Jason Wagner

Jason Wagner is an attorney at Wagner Oehler, Ltd., and President and Owner of the firm. Jason’s practice areas include real estate, estate planning, farm succession planning, business law, and probate and trust administration. Jason is most passionate about working with farmers and small business owners to help achieve clients’ long-term goals.

Jason was raised on a farm in Wabasha County. Jason earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities with high distinction. In 2013, Jason received his Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, together with a Business Law Concentration Certificate. Jason was recognized for his commitment to public service in law school and as a Community Engagement Scholar undergraduate coursework.

Jason is active in civic and professional organizations, including Elder Network (past President of the Board), Rochester Rotary Risers (2019-2020 President), St. Pius X Catholic Church, Rochester Estate Planning Council, Legal Assistance of Olmsted County’s Volunteer Attorney Program (2014 New Volunteer Attorney of the Year), the Minnesota State Bar Association, and the Olmsted County Bar Association.

Jason has been featured in a regional newspaper and other publications for his work on family farm transitions and has conducted many farm succession planning workshops throughout Southeastern Minnesota. In 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024 Jason was selected as a Minnesota Rising Star for estate planning (an honor for which no more than 2.5% of lawyers in the state are selected to receive each year).

Jason enjoys spending time with his family and taking his dog, Ladybird, to Chester Woods. He also enjoys kayaking and hunting.

If Jason had not gone to law school, he planned on being a psychologist!
