Paul W. Befort is an attorney at Wagner Oehler, Ltd. Paul's practice areas include estate planning, probate and trust administration, farm succession planning, business law, and real estate matters. He is passionate about helping individuals, families, farmers, and business owners create thoughtful plans that preserve assets, protect individuals, and provide peace of mind for future generations.

Mr. Befort received his Juris Doctor from the University of St. Thomas School of Law in 2025, where he received the Dean's Award for Legal Writing in recognition of excellence in legal research and written advocacy. He also earned a Master of Arts in Catholic Studies from the University of St. Thomas and graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from the University of St. Thomas.

Growing up on a dairy farm in Wabasha County, Minnesota, Paul developed a deep appreciation for agriculture, hard work, and the values that sustain family-owned farms and businesses. His rural upbringing provides him with firsthand insight into the opportunities and challenges faced by farm families and small business owners throughout southeastern Minnesota. Paul enjoys building lasting relationships with clients and helping them navigate important legal and personal decisions with confidence.

Paul is active in civic, religious, and professional organizations, including the Knights of Columbus, the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, St. Pius X Catholic Church, the Rochester Tennis League, the Minnesota State Bar Association, and the Olmsted County Bar Association.

Outside the office, Paul enjoys gardening, reading, visiting family and friends, and staying active through tennis and other outdoor activities. His commitment to faith, family, and community informs both his professional practice and his approach to serving clients throughout southeastern Minnesota.
