Margaret (Maggie) M. Cook is an attorney at Wagner Oehler, Ltd. Maggie’s practice areas include estate planning, medical assistance, asset protection, special needs planning for individuals with disabilities, including supplemental and special needs trusts, guardianship and conservatorship cases, and estate and trust administrations. Maggie is passionate about guiding clients through the long-term care process and helping clients plan for peace of mind.
Maggie earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Strategic Communication and Gerontology from Miami University of Ohio. In 2015, she earned her Juris Doctor from the University of St. Thomas School of Law. Maggie is licensed to practice law in Minnesota and Wisconsin.
Maggie volunteers with the Legal Assistance of Olmsted County’s Volunteer Attorney Program. She is on the Board of Directors for the Southeastern Minnesota Area Agency on Aging, Goodhue County Habitat for Humanity, and the Samaritan Bethany Foundation. Maggie is a Co-Chair of the Women Attorneys of Rochester section. She is also a member of the Minnesota State Bar Association, Olmsted County Bar Association, and the Editor in Chief of the Minnesota State Bar Association Elder Law Section eNewsletter.
Maggie enjoys traveling, baking, running, and spending time with her husband and son.
She has run two marathons and over a dozen half marathons in four different states!
