Long time Lake City based law firm Gartner Law Office, Ltd. is pleased to announce the retirement of Attorney Phil Gartner and that of his long-term associate, Maxine Shell, as he transitions his practice to the law firm of Wagner Oehler, Ltd. Phil appreciates the opportunity to have served his clients and it is not without some mixed emotions that he ends his legal relationships with his clients. The attorneys at Wagner Oehler, Ltd. are excited and honored to be taking primary responsibility of serving Phil’s clients in the Lake City area.

Gartner Law Office, Ltd. has been part of southeastern Minnesota for approximately 60 years. Attorney Gartner practiced law for approximately 60 years, and Wagner Oehler, Ltd. intends to fill the void he will leave upon his retirement.

Gartner Law Office, Ltd. has contacted clients about the transition of their files. All real estate, estate planning, estate administration, probate, and business law files will be held by Wagner Oehler, Ltd. Wagner Oehler, Ltd. is a Rochester-based law firm with additional offices in Winona and St. Charles. Wagner Oehler, Ltd. is honored to assume the care of Phil’s clients and to announce the expansion to Lake City, which will operate as a full-time office.

Wagner Oehler, Ltd. currently has eight full-time attorneys: Jason Wagner, Alyssa Jerde, Jennifer Gumbel, Judith K. Wilson, Cole Tousignant, Jennifer Shabel, Cade Pederson, and Marc Riese. The firm also has 11 full-time support staff: Dana Guderian, Becky Henry, Megan Glasrud, Tammy Scroggins, Shannon Decker, Ashley Christie, Sophia Craven, Janice Domke, Tiffany Sappington, Gabriel Bickerstaff, and Elizabeth Karsell. Senior Attorney Judi Wilson will be the principal attorney for the Lake City office though the entire team of Wagner Oehler, Ltd. will be servicing our Lake City clients. The office will continue to be located at 120 W. Center Street, the former long-term Gartner Law Office, across the street from the Lake City Public Library.
